In order to effectively solve the problem of shortage of nursing manpower and balance the supply and demand of nursing manpower, and to cultivate a new generation of nursing talents with nursing profession and cross-domain innovation for the country, the Department of Nursing was established to combine the characteristics and expertise of each college of the university to cultivate a new generation of talents who are interested in investing in and improving the medical care system. In addition to effectively solving the problem of nursing manpower shortage, it can also use its cross-disciplinary training to greatly improve the quality of medical care for the whole population and create a new vision for the nursing profession. The establishment of the Department of Nursing is based on the social responsibility of the University, which has the obligation to nurture a new generation of competent nursing talents for the society. Through the cross-disciplinary faculty cooperation of the University, we hope to cultivate a new generation of nursing talents who not only need to have professional knowledge of nursing, critical thinking, proficient communication/coordination/cooperation skills, demonstrate caring for the society and provide culturally appropriate care, but also can integrate the old with the new and innovate across disciplines through the cross-disciplinary training background of a comprehensive university.

The Department will integrate the medical management of the School of Management, the application of innovative technology in the School of Science and Engineering, and the humanistic literacy and social policy sensitivity of the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Arts. We look forward to the goal of improving the care-friendly environment and promoting the improvement and innovation of the nursing profession while improving the nursing manpower and professionalism.
